Model Teaching — Educator PD Platform

Model Teaching is an online professional development platform where K-12 teachers and educators earn continuing education credits, salary advancement qualifications, and graduate-level university credit through self-paced online courses.

We built the platform on WordPress with a custom theme and a heavily customized LMS integration. The course catalog has over 1,000 offerings across dozens of subject areas and grade levels, each meeting state-level professional development requirements.

The hardest part was wiring up multiple university partners. Southern New Hampshire University, Augustana University, and UMass Global all offer accredited graduate credit directly through the platform, which meant coordinating enrollment systems, course completion verification, and transcript generation between each institution.

The site serves educators in all 50 states. Individual teachers can buy courses on their own, while school administrators can set up district-wide bulk licensing with custom pricing and request PD bundles built around their staff's specific needs.

There's also a custom quote generator for institutional buyers, semester-based scheduling, and an FAQ and support system. The goal was always to keep educators focused on learning instead of fighting logistics.
